CITY OF LIGHTS
‘Her dreams were luminescent flowers, she seeded in the night. And they bloomed in her world, like a magical city of light…’
City of Lights: The Alchemy of Dreams
Our dreams are like luminescent flowers, blooming in the deepest night, whispering their secret truths. Each dream is designed by our internal architect, drawn into the blueprints for the life we are destined to build. In the dark stillness of the night, in the silent hours when the world appears to stop, these dreams live. The seed of transformation is sown in the unconscious fertile land of the mind. Our dreams are far from mere fantasies—they are the very essence of our becoming and form an essential path to our true desire. Like tender buds that emerge from the soil of our unconscious, they have grown underground in the darkness and are illuminated and begin to break through towards the light. And in our darkest moments, they illuminate a pathway through a void - they become our guiding light forward propelling us into the life that is yet to be realised.
Science has demonstrated that as humans on a physical level our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions hold incredible power that shapes our reality. Within the structure of the human brain, the reticular activating system (RAS) acts as a filter, guiding our awareness and experience toward the things we focus on most. What we think about repeatedly, what we believe in the quiet spaces of our hearts, continues to mold and shape the reality we live and experience. This is not a theory or a matter of coincidence—it is the law of attraction in action in the human experience. When our thoughts and focus can be aligned with our desires, even if we do not fully consciously understand what they are the universe begins to mirror and solidify into reality that alignment.
Through experience of desire, selection and self-reflection we can begin to identify the deep truth that our outer world is a mirror and reflection of the inner world. Our thoughts and intentions, are like threads woven into the fabric of reality, pulling us closer to the life we dream of or deeper into a void of what we obsessively dislike. And… we do not have to ‘chase after it’, or aggressively define our preferences - for the life we desire is already within us, and it requires stillness and gentle attention for it to bloom within us, open waiting dormantly to be fertilised and brought forward into full form.
There is a distinct purity and naked beauty to our internal dreamland. In this protected sacred playground of the mind we run free from judgement and the limitation of current human conditioning. These dreams are our divine luminescent flowers and the gifted seeds we can choose to nurture and grow in our waking lives. This is our private and divine right as individuals and human beings, one that must be carefully protected and cultivated within.
This is our light and the magic of dreams illuminated into manifestation: the ability to shape our world through the quiet power of our thoughts, focus and attention to create a city of lights that shines in the darkness of our experience. Like an architect, we begin to lay the foundations for the life we desire where we can build. With every brick, the foundation strengthens, and soon, the city of our dreams can rise before us, glowing with the light that was once only a dim possibility. And just as a city of light stands proud against the night, so too does the dreamer—standing tall in the light of their own creation, a testament to the power of the human spirit.
Let us hold our dreams close to our hearts, and nurture the seeds of our desire trusting that in time, they will grow and then bloom into the life beyond what our human eyes could have once envisioned.
