Book of Poetry
Dreams of Eden: Poetry from the Sacred Garden is a lyrical odyssey through the seasons of life, an immersive poetic journey into the hidden landscapes of the human experience, exploring darkness and light, love and loss, dreams, consciousness and the transformation of the self.
What if the darkness and light we encounter throughout our lives are not opposing forces, but changing seasons of the soul guiding us towards a deeper awakening?
Moving through the symbolic seasons of winter, autumn and spring, Aria Sommers journeys into the unseen territories of the psyche, through dreams, grief, hope and the sacred beauty of the heart. From the cold, dark winter of The Descent, through the deep awakening of autumn in Her Universe, and into the hope and infinite renewal of spring in Return to Eden, the collection traces the inner movement of a soul through darkness and towards the light.
Aria Sommers, author of The Return: Radical Self-Love, is a writer and poet who draws upon the depth of her lived experience together with decades of inner work and exploration across psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, spirituality and the creative arts. Having journeyed through profound trauma, loss and adversity, her work explores the extraordinary capacity of the human spirit to regenerate, transform and awaken to a greater truth and a more conscious, authentic experience of being.
At once a poetic and spiritual journey, Dreams of Eden explores our ancient relationship with nature, consciousness and the sacred, and the ways we have sought meaning within the mysteries of our inner and outer worlds. Moving between the earthly and the ethereal, the collection follows the changing seasons of the soul as it encounters love, grief, beauty, darkness, dreams and awakening, revealing the profound interconnectedness between the natural world and the landscapes we carry within us.
At its heart, Dreams of Eden is an invocation to turn inward, to descend into the unseen and discover what may be transformed, awakened and ultimately brought into the light. Eden is not a paradise somewhere beyond us; it is a sanctuary cultivated within. A place where dreams are seeded in the soul, where consciousness awakens and the fragmented pieces of our humanity are returned to loving wholeness.
A journey through the seasons of the soul.
Through darkness and into the light.
Through dreams, transformation and awakening.
And ultimately, a return to Eden.
