WILD AT HEART
'She could see her dreams becoming real. She could feel her true desire. She could see a life beyond her own. And it set her heart on fire.'
Wild at Heart: The Intensity of True Desire
And what of her love? And what of her heart? And what of the dreams she unlocked in the dark?
And what of her love and her heart? Far from the idealised notion of romantic love that is played out in movies, storybooks, and old-world fairytales unconditional love is not bound by a series of conditions, it does not seek pleasure or gratification. Unconditional love is a state of receptivity and allowing and a powerful energy emanating from the heart. Without love and passion in our lives as women we slowly but surely begin to wilt. We enter a slow, steady decent into entropy. And for most women who have felt the pain and internal darkness that is living a life devoid of love, and sadly I am one of those women, we must appreciate and nurture the love, passion, beauty and inspiration we find in life or witness our own decay.
And what her head? And what of her heart? This human biochemistry of love and the intensity of feeling, deep affection, attraction, interest and pleasure in something fuels life and evolution in human beings. Love is an emotional and physical reality that we exists in our minds and bodies as we experience complex chemical reactions and develop physical expressions of love. This interconnected flood of oxytocin, dopamine, adrenaline, vasopressin, testosterone and oestrogen we experience when we form desire, attachments and bonds with something or someone over time forms a bio-behavioural synchrony within us that we experience as a complex relationship of interconnected reactions and responses to the things and people we love. The love hormone oxytocin increases with these levels of emotional and physical connection to feelings of trust, stability and heightened levels desire in our lives. This distinctive chemical force has the power to transform not only our minds but our perspectives and our futures. The unique magical relationship between a person and something or someone they love is transformative beyond all measures and motivates us in ways we as women can only begin to comprehend into a different vibration of being.
And what of the frequency of her love? It is widely understood that love is a vibration state of being, vibrating at a frequency of 639Hz. According to the ‘Hawking scale’ and the contemporary ‘Law of Attraction’ ideology (a study into vibrational reality) we move through low level vibrational states of suffering and separation consciousness into flow, into peace and ultimately into unity consciousness and unconditional love where we can experience the ultimate form of consciousness and the highest level of human vibration. As we resonate at this level of divine harmony we can let go of the ego and the identified ‘self’ and move into a state of intoxication and majesty of life which enables us to evolve well beyond our conditioned identified ‘self’ as it inspires us and propels us forward into a dream world of love and unity, one for many of us, we thought was simply not possible.
And what of her heart? We have for many years been told by spiritual teachers that we have to ‘open’ our heart chakras to allow and experience love. Like many others I have devoted times to healers and meditations that promised to ‘open the heart’. Anahata ‘the heart chakra’ is the fourth primary chakra (energy centre) in the body according to Hindu, Yogic, Buddhist and Tantric traditions. In Sanskrit the name ‘Anahata’ translates to ‘unhurt’ ‘unstruck’ and ‘unbeaten’. This translation represents the divine and transformative nature of the heart energy and the indestructible power of it to transform our lives. It seems as women we need to fight to keep our love and passion alive in our modern over-burdened lives of masculine practicality, economy and responsibility. And it is has become quite literally ‘the fight for our lives’ because to live a life without love and without passion and without beauty as women is to succumb to a decaying and eroding of the feminine self…
And what of love? In truth we do not need to ‘prise open’ our heart chakras or shed the pain of our experiences in our hearts to embody the quality of love. It is so much more simple and beautiful than that… all we need to do is find something, anything we love. An image, a child, a flower, a puppy, a melody... When we focus on the feeling it evokes within us the heart will inevitable open, making way for a flood of other things, people and experiences we love in our lives. We just need to find something that ignites us and as we focus on one small ‘love’ and it will begin to spawn and bloom a garden of beauty and light in our lives. That is ‘the secret’ that was lost – that you don’t ‘need anything’ that you are not ‘broken’ nor is your heart. But rather we have been devoid of feeling joy and beauty and that it can be reclaimed one small delicate love at a time until we exist in a paradise of our making...
